Is Saint Sebastian Academy a non-profit?

SSA is a Virginia corporation governed by a board of directors.  We are in the process of applying for non-profit 501 c(3) status and hope to have approval in the near future.

Can students take classes outside of their registered grade level?

Yes!  For convenience sake, the classes are scheduled according to grade level.  However, it is understood that students will be coming from various high school settings.  Some students may have taken a sequence of classes different from SSA's, in which case these students will need to take certain courses outside of their grade.  We have aligned nearly all the same subjects to be taught during the same time frame so that the student has the flexibility to take the course he needs at his own speed.  We encourage this!  Of course there are exceptions such as math, language, or science where prerequisites will have to be met before enrolling in these courses.

Saint Sebastian Academy admits students of any race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.   It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, or athletic and other school-administered programs.
